Nama : Siti Fatimah Muhamad Tarikh mula berkhidmat : 1 Nov 1978 Tarikh berpencen : 7 Ogos 2012 (Pencen pilihan) First appointed as a qualified Physiotherapist in the year of 1978 after 3 years training in Sekolah Latihan Jurupulih Anggota (then) in Hospital Kuala Lumpur which opened in 1975. Qualification as a BSc.Applied Health (Physiotherapy) holder was obtained much later in the year 2005 after a topped-up degree distant learning with University of Teesside,United Kingdom. In the total of 33 years 4 months of service,had served Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia (KKM)in eight (8) hospitals in six (6) states – of which was Hosp Kota Bharu,Hosp Kuantan, Hosp Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Klang, Hosp Kangar, Hosp Alor Star, Bahagia Ulu Kinta, Hosp Ipoh and Hosp Sg Buloh (Ipoh and Klang were posted twice which witnessed the optional retirement at Hosp Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Klang).
Part of significant scopes of service covered during those years : - Role as Clinical Physiotherapist, head of unit and head of State Physiotherapy Service. - Assist in building up of SOPs, Care Protocols in Physiotherapy. - Proposed and supported all disciplines in healthcare delivery systems in KKM. - Recommended physiotherapy services in sports events such as SUKMA,Sukan KKM at states level. Involvement in Paralympic sports in classificifying of disable athletes. - Training of Physiotherapy Students : As invited lecturer in KSKB, As Clinical Supervisor during Clinical Placement, And as an external examiner during practical Examination. - Life member of Malaysian Physiotherapy Association (MPA)since 1979. Had opportunities in attending local & overseas training and conferences, some are : - Yearly MPA’s courses and conferences, - Trained Mobilisation techniques in 1989 and 1992, - Hydrotherapy training package in Amsterdam,Holland in 2006, - Overseas Physiotherapy conference in Singapore,Holland and - Many more short and long Physiotherapy courses held locally. Long years of service was a memorable life experience and it was a great privilege and joyful serving / contributing to KKM.I hope the physiotherapy profession will have the opporturnity to showcase it’s value in deserving recognition. In light of enormous contribution that physiotherapists across the country had given to patients in all disciplines, I hope in the year to come that,our profession will progress and develop to next best level locally and internationally. Special thank you to our Head Physiotherapy Service KKM Y.Bhg Datin Hjh Asiah Mohd Hashim who was there during my service time to teach,guide and advice me in all aspect of physiotherapy service and management.
